Wade past all they hype of the “new journalism” that is the blogosphere, and you’ll find that the old traditional journalism still shows a lot of relevance. There are still some muckraking news sources that aren’t afraid to print the truth. Mother Jones magazine concisely documents and prints the truth month after month, but this month they’ve really outdone themselves.
The September/October issue of Mother Jones has a nine page timeline of events leading up to the Iraq war, documenting what was said, who said it, and usually, why it was later discovered to be a lie. Now Mother Jones has created a version of this timeline for the Internet, complete with cross-referencing links. As I understand it, the timeline will later be expanded to bring us up to our current point in the Iraq war.
I highly recommend the print edition, but the online edition looks well done as too. It can be found here: http://www.motherjones.com/bush_war_timeline/index.html
