What do you do when something is horribly difficult to work with, and then botches everything just when you think there’s nothing left to botch? Here’s a hint… you don’t elect if for a second term. And so it goes for our websites’ calendar. We’re moving on.
Google Calendar will allow for a more democratic process when it comes to sharing events you’re interested in. Anyone can e-mail us to get the permissions to add events. All you need is a Google Calendar account, which is free. Sign up at www.google.com/calendar.
By subscribing to our calendar, you’ll always know what events are coming up. You can subscribe to our calendar either with Google Calendar or an iCalendar-compatible calendar program. To subscribe with Google Calendar click here: Google Calendar. If you have an iCalendar program like Apple’s iCal or Mozilla Sunbird (Firefox even has a calendar extension), you can subscribe by clicking this link: iCalendar.

Works on 30boxes.com if you change “http” to “webcal”. There are a few duplicates, though (like 10/6 has two “DL Meet-up”s in addition to the meet-n-drink.

The icalendar link should have been webcal://- it’s changed now. I’ll have to look into the double postings - I get it in my iCal subscription too. In Google Calendar I did a repeating event for our Friday night meet-ups, and when I added the meet-n-drink event I deleted the regular meet-up event, which the calendar itself reflects, but not the subscription.
