Happy Repeal Day!

End of Prohibition

Today is Repeal Day, the day that United States repealed the Eighteenth Amendment and gave Americans the constitutional ability to consume alcohol. So run down to your favorite local bar and exercise your constitutional right to drink like an adult, prudes be damned. (Actually I like the Sterkworks blog, she just happened to post on the wrong day.)

UPDATE: Bob over at “The World, According to Me” (a teetotaler, btw) posts Utah’s importance in Repeal Day.

I had no idea. Thank you for enlightening me. I am now repenting by trying to polish off a bottle of Shiraz. Cheers.

  2. Jeremiah Says:

Yes, repent Sister Sterkworks. Don’t make me drink for your prudish sins.

    random quote:

"But could not our situation be compared to one of a menacing epidemic? People are unable to view this situation in its true light, for their eyes are blinded by passion. General fear and anxiety create hatred and aggressiveness. The adaptation to warlike aims and activities has corrupted the mentality of man; as a result,
intelligent, objective and humane thinking has hardly any effect and is even suspected and persecuted as unpatriotic."
