Liberal legislative lurkers and lobbyists,
The Utah legislature is in session, which for us liberals means we’ve got plenty to laugh at, plenty to cringe at, and plenty to be afraid of. Things like the resolution stating that global warming is a conspiracy; or renaming Martin Luther King Jr day to also honor gunmaker John Browning; or even homicide charges for women who have miscarriages.
But there are also good bills to talk about, so this Friday, February 26th, we’ll have Representatives Jen Seelig, David Litvack, and Mark Wheatley, as well as Senator Ben McAdams joining us as guest speakers. They’ll be coming out to share some thoughts and answer your questions about this year’s legislative session.
Grab a friend, and we’ll see you tomorrow night!
Laura, Heather, Jeremiah

Fellow liberal global warming alarmists,
This Friday (Feb 19th) there won’t be a regular SLC Drinking Liberally meetup, but some of us will be joining Jon and Sara of the Ogden chapter to Drink Liberally up there. FrontRunner has worked well in the past, those interested in driving can contact us for help arranging carpools. If you’re planning on joining for this excursion, please reply to this e-mail so we can get an idea of how many folks are coming. If you’re planning on just meeting us up there, it will be at The Wine Cellar, 2550 Washington Blvd at 8:00.
And next week, February 26th, Laura has lined up Representatives Jen Seelig, David Litvack, and Mark Wheatley, as well as Senator Ben McAdams! They’ll be coming out to share some thoughts and answer your questions about this year’s legislative session.
Hope to see you soon!
Heather, Laura, Jeremiah

Liberal Valentines,
With 5 Fridays last month it’s been a couple weeks since we’ve had a meetup, but tomorrow night (Friday, Feb 12th) we’ll remedy that by meeting in the back room of the Piper Down from 6:30 on. And there’s plenty to talk about with the Leg in session.
Next Friday, February 19, we are planning a trip to north to drink liberally with our sister chapter in Ogden. Sara and Jon have always been such gracious hosts and we were excited to see them at our special meet-up with City Weekly last week. FrontRunner has worked well in the past, those interested in driving can contact us for help arranging carpools. If you’re planning on joining for this excursion, please reply to this e-mail so we can get an idea of how many folks are coming.
Then on February 26th, Laura has lined up Representatives Jen Seelig, David Litvack, and Mark Wheatley, as well as Senator Ben McAdams! They’ll be coming out to share some thoughts and answer your questions about this year’s legislative session.
Hope to see you next week!
