Helpful liberals,
There’s no Drinking Liberally meetup tonight, but there will be our usual meetup next Friday, August 20th.
We are just a few weeks away from the Living Liberally national conference, being held right here in Salt Lake City. We’d like to see this conference be the most fun, most successful conference that has been hosted, and we’re looking for your help.
One way to help is if you’ve got some spare space (couches, guest bedrooms, etc) for other chapter leaders to crash on while in SLC for the National Conference. We have a few hosts who really want to visit the Beehive state but finances are prohibitive. We want to help reduce the burden by giving them a place to stay. Most guest will arrive in SLC Friday Sept 24 and stay through Sunday Sept 26th. Please let us know if you can help.
While this is a conference for the chapter leaders, our evening activities will be open for all to attend. On Friday, September 24th we’ll be meeting at the Piper Down for our opening reception and happy hour. Then on Saturday the 25th, we’ll be having a party with special guests. And after our final session on Sunday we’ll be showing our out-of-state guests some of the interesting places that make Utah unique. Again, more details to come.
See you next Friday!
