Hello everyone! Sorry for the late notice but I wanted to let everyone know that we will be meeting at our regularly scheduled time and place tonight. When we have five Fridays in a month it throws us hosts in to total confusion! To paraphrase “Clerks” I assure you, we’re open!

This will be our last meeting of the year and the last meeting before the crazy GOP Iowa caucus.

Coming up on January 20th, Drinking Liberally will become Geeks Who Drink Liberally as we have the Geeks Who Drink crew out to emcee a political trivia night. Pete Ashdown, Ross Romero, and Ben McAdams are sponsoring the event for us, and Piper Down will be throwing in some stuff as well. So many thanks to them.

On February 10th we’ll have Salt Lake County Mayoral candidates Ross Romero and Ben McAdams out to talk to us, so keep that night open on your calendar!

We hope to see everyone in the back room at Piper Down (1492 S. State St.) tonight from 6:30-9:30 PM.

It might be a holiday weekend but we’re still planning on meeting this Friday at 6:30 in the back room of the Piper Down. There’s plenty to talk about, like our soldier withdrawal from Iraq! That’s kind of a big deal. There’s also the Bradley Manning trial, Kim Jong-il’s death, and the always entertaining race (to the bottom) for the Republican nomination.

The republicans had their final debate in Iowa before that states caucus to kick off the next leg of their 100 debate tour. Seriously enough already! Atleast Trump finally canceled his debate
